Siblings

All three of my babies swinging! (And I wasn’t even there to witness it, THANK YOU, JAMES.) Big kid/Daddy date at the library Lego Club. We make lots of planes these days. They’re riding faster and going farther without me. This is a beautiful thing. We spent some biking time WITH Mary Jackson and WITHOUT Liddi (again, […]

The Bittiest Liddi

The Bittiest Liddi

Chewing everything. (That onesie’s now in the too-small bag.) Studying everything. Drooling everywhere. Too cool to smile. Learning to sit up. (She’s a pro now.) Cheeks rounding out. (Just like Jaeda’s.) Fast asleep. (We came in the door, and I laid her on the carpet while I brought the groceries, etc in. [Because you know if […]

Jon & Sam

Jon & Sam

Jon and Sam graced us with their beautiful presence within their first few weeks after finishing their freshman year…of college! They’ve been attending Liberty University in Virginia, so our visits with them are even sweeter than before, just knowing that they’re so much less frequent. While they were here, my birthday present from my mom […]

Things That Go

Things That Go

After riding a two-wheeler with training wheels most of last summer, we had Corban try a balance bike. It took him a while to push his feet against the ground versus pedals. But he became quite adept at it and was lifting his feet up, gliding, for longer and longer periods. So. Two weeks ago, with […]

For these rain boots, I have waited.

This post contains a video that may not be visible in your email. When your driveway becomes a swamp every spring and fall (and occasionally during the winter warmups), rain boots become an imperative. And now that we’ve lived with this driveway for 2 1/2 years, I figured it was time to act. I put […]

Some ways they play.

Some ways they play.

Ever since Jen showed back up in our lives a year ago, our mate intake has increased. I give the kids a couple sips throughout the week. Well, except for Jumpy; he/she gets what I get, mmm. Wait. Maybe that’s why he’s so jumpy! I know, I know, I’ve talked about this dollhouse plenty, but […]

The Little Mister

The Little Mister

Corban’s figured out the best “warmers” of the house and how to get as close to the heat as possible. I can find him here or on his favorite floor vent in our room at any time of day, but especially in the mornings in his pjs. (We’ve surely suggested long sleeves and socks, but […]

Bringing in 2015

Bringing in 2015

New Years’ celebrations bring the best combination of friends, games, laughter, and finger foods. We still have some salsa that we keep buying chips for. Oh man. I’m hungry. And fruit and homemade mint marshmallows covered in chocolate?! That’s it. We need to celebrate NYE at least monthly. Kids played for a bit and then […]

Just Like Daddy.

Just Like Daddy.

I like to claim at least a half part contribution to the adorableness of these children. Especially to all the folks who see just me and the kids out in public and wonder incredulously where they got their red hair. I mean, come on! But for as much as they are like me, they are oh-so […]

The leaves have left.

The leaves have left.

They were up and came down. They were raked all around. They’ve been jumped in and squished. And were covered in snow mush. Now they’re gone, all gone. And all we have is brown lawn.
