Watching movies and licking spoons.

Veggie Tales has been a smash hit in our house these last few weeks. Also. Jaeda is watching them waaaay before Corban ever started. #secondchildsyndrome But look at those two. Plus their preferred tv-watching companions–a dump truck and George. (Have I mentioned that Corban has now taken to sleeping with cars?? Not squishy stuffed animal cars. Hot wheels and dump trucks and wooden Melissa & Doug cars. Do.not.understand.) It really is precious watching them sit there, though. “Jaeda, watch out; this part’s gonna be scary.” (You know, as scary as bad penguins stealing the Fear Dar and the like.) Corban’s already started movie quoting during his play. “Not in my town,” he tells his speeding cars (that’s from Cars, by the way).

This picture may rank up there in my all-time fave sibling pics. I made the mistake of letting Corban lick the spoon. Once. Now whenever I’m cooking, even if it’s curry, he begs to lick the spoon. So of course, tag-a-long sister must as well. They lick for a good 20 minutes (!) at which point I could place the spoon back in the drawer, it’s that clean. (Thankfully for our guests, the spoons always seem to find their way into the dishwasher. ;)DSC_0943
