Snow, Kung fu, and Family

Snow, Kung fu, and Family

I will admit that growing up in Wisconsin has given me the privilege of driving in some very hazardous winter conditions. The abilities I have gained through those experiences have been put to the test this weekend. Sarah and I drove up to Michigan to hang out with her family for a day. What a blast! Our drive back was an adventure though. With three inches of snow falling per hour, visibility was so bad that we could not see the road signs until passing them. God deserves all the credit in getting us home safely.

It’s a good thing we were able to get back. Sarah had decorating to do! I have never seen someone’s face light up with as much joy with the mention of the word Christmas. A big snow storm, peanut butter hot chocolate, Christmas music, and a little table top Christmas tree has nearly brought tears to her eyes.

This weekend was also wonderful because we got to have dinner with an amazing couple, my parents-in-law. Everytime we are with them, we both leave encouraged! We also were able to see a movie we have been excited to see…Kung Fu Panda! I would really recommend this movie to anyone. It was hilarious. One last great moment of the weekend was that I got to throw snowballs at my brothers-in-law…and their cats. Thanks again Hutchens family for a great weekend!
