Birthday #1

Birthday #1

Corban turned one last Friday.

James and I are a little confused as to why HE gets all the presents.

I mean, we’re the ones who cared for him, got up with him, fed him, and all!

But we’ve also had so much fun.

Especially on Friday.

We opened presents (and I do mean, we).

He got bored after one. Haha!

But we enticed him back…

He loves his ball (that we LEFT in Michigan!!).

More opening assistance by Uncle Ben.

I’m hoping this phone will keep him away from mine!

Ah, how grand it is to be the first grandchild/nephew!
(Do you see everyone clapping with him? Tee hee.)

We were at my college roommate’s house (holler, Yarm!) the other weekend.
Her son is four months older than Corban. Watching Corban play with his big-kid toys,
we decided it was time to move past rattles and teething rings. Bring on the barns and Duplos!

And of course, no birthday is complete without cake.
He took to it quite well, for a first timer!

What a blessing it is to be Mom & Dad to such a joyful young child.

“Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them.
And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them
to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”
Luke 18:15-16

Lord, we are bringing him to You!
CORBAN: a gift devoted to God
