Life as we know it (aka the longest post known to man)

Life as we know it (aka the longest post known to man)

Life is changing. It’s good. For all my Baptists roots, I don’t mind change too much. As long as I can control it.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are My ways your ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Oh. So apparently I’m not quite as in control of said change as I’d like to think…

Right now, I’m mostly tired and wish to be asleep. But I’m up doing my homework. Well, I was until I decided to see what photos we’ve taken recently. Homework will still be there…..

So here’s what we’ve been up to:

We’ve been working on lots of projects.

Corban has been thrilled.

Aunt Mary came to visit.

Corban has been loving his yummy homemade food. And I love making it for him. There’s this cool satisfaction I find in providing my absolute best for my (silly!) baby.

Corban continues my his love of reading by kicking, smacking, and chewing.

My sibs helped me out with my garage sale, so we treated them to Greek’s delicious pizza!

We house-sat at a beautiful house on the lake.

What fun!

Corban was dedicated to the Lord (although he has been from birth, this was a great time of officially declaring our pursuit of God’s wisdom for our son). Check out his oh-so handsome tie!

We visited the Steele’s in Wisconsin. We made Corban wear this amazing (“European”) hat to repel the sun. He was too busy splashing to care.

The Hutchens’ joined the Steele’s for dinner one evening.

We love coming here for the 4th. Rhythm and Booms rocks!

We decided to join the 21st century by purchasing cell phones. Virgin Mobile. Pretty sweet deal! (And Corban’s still reading!)

Um. And chewing.

I have taken on two parttime jobs, one class, and VBS is halfway over even as I type. James is getting some freelance, feeding the wiggly one, and loving his new job (as a father AND a graphic designer!). It’s a good life that we lead. But it’s mostly good because of our good Lord without whom these things would be void of meaning.

“It is God who directs the lives of His creatures; everyone’s life is in His power.” Thank you, Lord!

Are you using Google Chrome as your internet browser? It seems to work in Safari or Firefox, but not Chrome.
