Laughter

Laughter

It’s such a joyous noise.

Every once in a while, Corban actually gets the giggle out.

But usually, it’s just a red face and a big grin with the occasional grunt.

Until.

Wasn’t that beautiful?? (And yes, he is ALL drool buckets these days!) Apparently the standard crunch was the key to unlocking his giggle!

What is it that makes him know that those are friendly, happy sounds his mom is making? Why is it that loud noises and yells make him cry and not laugh. We haven’t taught him what things are funny and what things aren’t. He just seems to know that it’s a happy time when Mom and Dad run their fingers up his belly or make weird expressions in his face.

I’ve been thinking a lot about these God-given instincts lately.

But right now, I’m tempted to wake him up so I can hear him laugh again!

Imelda, Andrew and I just watched Corban giggle. We all giggled too. No drooling on this end though… That would be weird!
