Visiting the School Kids

One of my students, Carla, made this hat for him! Wow!

Yesterday, Corban and I spent all day at Harrison visiting my ELLs. I go back and forth between various emotions. I’m glad I’m home. I miss those kids. I’d miss Corban more. But I love planning lessons and teaching them. Yeah, but who more important than to teach your own son? You get the picture. No question about it; I loved my job. But equally question-less is the fact that I love my new job.

Coming home after a full day of “work” (we did Writer’s Marathons; woo hoo!), not having dinner ready, wanting to go for a run, suddenly realizing that I hadn’t posted on my class and it was due in 30 minutes (!), letting James go for a run since Corban was asleep and I needed to post, Corban waking up screaming bloody murder (umm…I think we’re already getting into an awful teething phase–I’ll save that for another post), me not posting to my class, rushing around to leave in time to grab a bite to eat on our way to Life Group, …………….. *sigh* That’s what really told me that I love my ability to be more singularly focused right now. Not work and family, just family. While we may not always be able to afford this luxury, God is allowing us to right now, and I don’t want to waste a single day!
