Two month shots

Two month shots

My little baby got 3 big shots today. I was actually more of a baby about it than he was! With permission from the nurse (and reassurance that I would not receive a “bad mom” plaque), I waited outside during the shots. Then I swooped in and rescued him from those big, mean nurses. He didn’t scream or anything, just a little cry. And we slept and cuddled the rest of the day.

I hope this doesn’t sound silly, but this experience actually reminded me of our Lord. Just as these shots were painful but necessary, sometimes we are placed in painful, but necessary situations either to grow us, protect us, or teach us a lesson. I didn’t delight in Corban’s pain, but I nevertheless did it intentionally. I know what’s best for him. How much more does God know what’s best for me?

That face is sooooo sad :-(. Buck up Corban! :-) That pain is only minor… and temporary.

I do not like taking Maddie for her shots…especially since she’s older now. We have to hold her hands and legs so she doesn’t kick, push, or flail around…and she just screams away! :(
