20 Jun Dad Hutchens Car Accident
My (Sarah) dad was in a car accident last night. Worst one he says he’s ever had, and he’s had his share. Totaled the car. Injured his body. He’s okay; very sore, but not cut or anything. Which is more than we can say for the lady who hit him. My dad says that even if she hadn’t hit him, she would have hit someone. She was turning left onto a street that just had too many cars on it. Must have been distracted or something. His phrasing: “The worst miscalculation I’ve ever seen.” Unfortunately, my family pretty much only does liability insurance. We’ve never owned a car worth insuring more than that…until now but we still didn’t. And Michigan has this silly “no-fault” insurance, so if you don’t have insurance to pay for it, you have to. :/ He’s pretty bummed about that right now. That and the fact that my mom didn’t think he should play basketball with the guys this morning. Stubborn man. ;) We would appreciate your prayers for his body. He’s hurting a bit, but nothing too severe. Can I just praise the Lord though right now for protecting his life? THANK YOU, LORD! I have thanked Him at least a million times this evening alone. His family desperately needs him here still. Thanks for caring with us…
