Nestle wrote me back!
They were really thoughtful in their (long) letter to me–telling me how distribution works and such. Then they used my zipcode to find a local store that carries their brand of hot cocoa. It was the Owens way downtown. Never tried that one before. So we went last night. Checked it out. And. They only carry the individual packets, just like our close Owens. Those things are more than TWICE as much as the tubs of cocoa! No way am I paying that (not with the rate I go through cocoa!). That’s it, though. No free stuff. No samples. No coupons. I was slightly disappointed.
So. I’m going to write them back. And let them know that I hope they start distributing the big tubs in at least one local store! Or. Maybe they can find one in Fort Wayne that’s got ‘em. I could stock up…
The saga continues. Will keep you posted. Literally! (Ha!)
I wrote a letter to Nestle.
You see, I love their brand of cocoa. And really theirs alone. So I wrote the following letter. I hope it helps, so I can find cocoa again! But secretly, I wrote it because every time I write companies letters, they send me a free sample. And I love free things. Especially if they’re Nestle things.

Welcome
Welcome to our new domain. Thanks Chris Jones for showing off the hotness of WordPress to me. It has been rockin my world. Also, thanks to our all friends and family who are reading. We hope to keep updated frequently, and finally get some photos uploaded (which we have been slacking on).
Sleepless night.
(Sarah) Tossed and turned all night. Funny since I was exhausted all day yesterday. Thought I’d sleep like a baby. Maybe I did…? Anyways, finally got up at 3am. Read a couple books (albeit, short books) of the Bible, prayed, thought–did all the things that normally make me sleepy. Slept for a few minutes before James’ 4:30 bell went off. And to think this on the day that won’t end for a loooong time (first vball tonight–had to be rescheduled from last week).
Our search has finally ended!
As many of you know, we have had our fair share of car frustrations–the latest being with our Dodge Intrepid. We have spent the past few weeks researching, shopping, and saving. We had the following requirements in mind: ability to pay cash, compact 4 door, reliable for more than 9 months (!), and good gas mileage. And…we got it! Praise the Lord! We feel so blessed…
THE BASIC SPECS:
- ’94 Toyota Camry XLE
- 127,000 miles
- V6 3.0L
- Power everything
- Air conditioning! (It’s been a while)
- Moon roof (yes, it even opens)
- Leather seats (hot stuff)
- Every new car needs a hot car model!
5 Reasons You Need a Red Headed Friend
National Geographic magazine reports that less than two percent of the world’s population has natural red hair, created by a mutation in northern Europe. This is a sad statistic. Though I don’t believe the many news claims that red heads could be extinct as soon as 2060, I thought it appropriate to start this blog out with a few reasons you need a red headed friend.
- You won’t lose them in a large crowd.
- They bring a bright color pallet to your life.
- If you are feeling down about not being tan, you can count on your red headed friend to be less tan.
- You can finally use the term “carrot top”!
- Red heads are kind of like the sugar of life—they will add that little extra sweetness to your next get together.
Please feel free to add to this list. If your life has been enriched by having a redheaded friend we want to hear about it!
