“Is this together or separate?”
In the 3 1/2 years that we’ve been married, we’ve never been asked if our bill is together or separate–the ring says it all.
But Sunday, I (Sarah) couldn’t get my ring off. Not sure if it’s just because I’d been unpacking all day or what, but it freaked me out. My friend (shout out to Yarm–she just had her baby boy!) had the same thing happen to her, so she went to Walmart and got a cheap ring to wear for the time being. It seemed a little early to me to actually buy something, so I just went without it for the rest of Sunday. And then we went out for supper. And then the waitress asked that awful question. And then we drove straight to Walmart.
$8.88--not bad for a wedding band + bling, eh James?

Why are we here?
“Here” as in right here at this moment in this situation. Waiting is not the most enjoyable task in the world. Here are some lyrics from Brandon Heath. Not a huge fan of this song, but every time it gets to this part, it totally resinates with my heart:
