started school,

James’ grandma entered heaven,
(we already miss her, but what a
long, beautiful life she lived!)
and the Steele siblings took a photo,

as did the LaRoy cousins,

our Steele kids tried for a photo too,

then they got it obviously way better,

Cru learned to drive (I told ya it’s been a long time),

James got stuck,

I reached a new high in sneak ice cream eating,

we went to the zoo…and didn’t go in ($$$!),

we took photos of letters in nature,

Liddi grew in her kitchen helpfulness,

the neighborhood kids got tied to a tree,

we painted the living room,

we observed the solar eclipse,

we took down our illustrations from the Warsaw Performing Arts Center,

Corban learned to climb the door jams,

James calculated our retirement savings,

Crusoe practiced walking,

and James built a structure using all 1,000 Kapla blocks.

And that was August!
