When your driveway becomes a swamp every spring and fall (and occasionally during the winter warmups), rain boots become an imperative. And now that we’ve lived with this driveway for 2 1/2 years, I figured it was time to act. I put in a request to the budget master…and finally got some rain boots! Thank you, TJMaxx for having awesome deals and saving the only one in my size for me! Of course, I was so happy that I told everyone I ran into the following several days. Which, of course, included my Mary. How else should mentors influence their mentees if not in choice of footwear?!

Corban actually really enjoys them too. Unfortunately, the budget master has denied his request…this year. Once he starts walking through the sidewalk lakes to the library, he can resubmit his request. For now, he’s stuck with mine.

I’m not sure he minds all that much…
