The one where Jon steals the show.

The one where Jon steals the show.

My baby brother graduated at the end of May. I changed his diapers. I also cut his ear (once!) during a monthly haircut. In my defense, he’s wiggly. But we attended his graduation and cheered for him every single time he was on stage. You’ll see how many that was.

First, Jon and Sam (and a few others who obviously are not nearly
as important since they’re not connected to our family) led the audience
in a worship song (cool part of attending a Christian high school!).

Then his face was on stage without him, including his life verse.

Next, he was announced as salutatorian…DSC_1753

…and gave a hilarious, compelling speech.
Have you checked out any Ted Talks?
(Here’s a sample of one I watched about introverts;
I’m always trying to figure James out a little better.)

Well, Jon’s the next Ted Talk coming to a Facebook feed near you.
Check out the principal and class advisor in the background. Hilarious.

Then, he was awarded the James T. Wessing
Distinguished Character Award out of the entire class of 35 students.

And finally, he walked across the stage to accept his diploma.DSC_1795

“Hallelujah, I’m free!” he said.
