From snow to sun.

From snow to sun.

The snow lasted something like a hundred days this winter.
I’ve always said if it’s gonna be cold, let there be snow, but shew,
the length of this winter really tested that statement!

We love walking through the quiet lanes in the cemetery a few blocks down.
Even in the winter, so long as it’s not too cold to breathe.20140309_185818

I’m still brewing kombucha. (It’s a great probiotic–and cheap if you make it yourself;
read about it here.) I tried my hand at flavoring it with real fruit and WOW was it good.

I found a Groupon for a haircut and highlights. Got it CHOPPED. If it fits it a pony tail,
it goes in a ponytail, so I’m super happy with this change. Although I was reprimanded
by a fellow redhead for having so much blond in my hair now! Made friends with the
hairstylist as well. We talked personal, and I sold her on FPU, which she was hoping
to start at a church near her just last week! Plus my friend watched my kids while I was
getting pampered. Always a treat to catch up with good friends and have good convo.20140320_093033

Uncle Jon and Aunt Hoopie spent the majority of their spring break with us.
We worked hard and played hard and stayed up way too late.
Minus a couple cankers, we couldn’t have had a better time.

The beginning of this post started with winter, so it’s only fitting to end with a sunny bike ride
…from yesterday! While we’re biking I hear a sad little boy’s voice come from the back:

“Mom, something’s touching my neck. Aaa! I think it’s Jaeda’s hair!”

I turn around to see Jaeda smushed up asleep against Corban.
By the time we got to where we were going, Corban was asleep too.
A good hour of park play before lunch will do that!
