Reflection of the 2013

Reflection of the 2013

As we reflect on 2013, lots has changed! Jaeda learned to walk, run, talk, play, and fight with her brother. She’s had her first encounters with discipline and is figuring out what is expected of her. Corban had many accidents (maybe that will never change??), grew in his knowledge of God’s Word, was skillful in every athletic endeavor, and tested us to our limit (again, maybe the same forever #sigh#thankfultoguidehisheart). James and I retreated and sought spiritual direction, our life group retreated and experienced newfound unity (plus three new members!), and we have all-around enjoyed having two increasingly independent kids. James continues to excel in his workplace and was sent to San Francisco for professional development. My babysitting kids will always hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to experiencing many more things for the first time with my posse. We’re thankful for the Lord’s hand in this year and look forward to one day going through our trials anticipating His faithfulness rather than wondering if He will act. He has been so good to us this year, so kind; why does it surprise us every time?! Praise the Lord He is faithful on His own merit and not on our faith.  Collage Screen Shot 2013-12-22 at 8.36.48 PM
