A few of my favorite things

A few of my favorite things

Our new house has lots of space (aaaaah, fresh space!).
Since so many of our friends are in the housing market,
I wanted to share some of my favorites with you!

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The two matching Ikea chairs are a Craigslist find.
I think they’re beautiful!

Love the funky modern look of this lamp.

This has three favorites in it:
(1) the floor
(2) the bench…which is really a bookcase turned on its side!
(3) the blinds…no more sheets!

Detailed trim.

A beautiful cedar chest…for toys!
We took the lid off for safety reasons right now.
It needs to be organized and put in the basement.

HUGE office closet space…
(P.S. Handyman James totally made those shelves!)

…with a door that hides the clutter.

James loves his large workspace.
Apparently, he’s not the only one.

Beautiful built-in cabinets in the dining room.

Look at everything we can store in there!

A great spot for a fire pit…somewhere out there.

A dining room table…that can be left up at all times!

Loads of cabinets and large drawers in the kitchen.
We even have an empty shelf still!

Watching movies together was something my family did often.
We quoted our favorites all.the.time.
So after five years of living without a TV, we decided to buy one
(again, on Craigslist; some say I have a problem). I look forward
to cozy weekends enjoying our favorite movies together!

Large basement closets to hold games and photo albums…and more!

When we first got the dehumidifier, it was 85% humidity down there!
Now, it hovers between 45% and 50%. No more musty basement odor!

Our FULL-SIZED washer and dryer hold almost double what our old ones could!
(Flip side: there’s a lot more to fold per load; ha!)

I can leave my ironing board up all the time.

That closet in our “room” (the loft) goes back as far as our bed does!

Great closet spaces. Corban’s clothes look so big hanging up!

French doors leading into Jaeda’s room.
(The sign still hasn’t been taken down from the move,
but something tells me we don’t need it anymore…)

Jaeda’s crib nook.

Of course, my real favorite things in the new house aren’t things at all.

*insert a picture of James here. he’s definitely a favorite.*

So thankful that God lead us here!
