16 Jun Summer Bedding
After reading this post by my dear friends over at Natty Nook, I was thoroughly inspired to “summer-ize” our own bed.
I took a good look at what we were dealing with. (The quilt was HAND-STITCHED AND QUILTED by my dearest Grandma Hutchens. We love, love, love it…for winter!)
Then we searched and searched and searched for something to brighten up the room for the summer months. We found plenty of things that we liked, but when you’re talking about a king-size bed, there’s not a whole lot for under $100. We really wanted to be able to reuse our pillows (one less thing to buy and store) which we were already re-using from redoing the living room, but that again limited our selection. Finally, though, we found some level of success with Kohls’ clearance section.
Well, I still wasn’t thrilled. It was still a little darker than I was hoping, but I just didn’t know what to do. So. I called Lena from Natty Nook and asked her for some advice. She recommended more green, even in a cover over the big dark pillow. I was a little nervous, because well, you can see it’s been straight up blue for a looong time. But back to Kohls I traipsed in hopes of something brighter, dare I say greener. And find something I did!
Brighter, cheerier, modern-er. I love it!

Posted at 07:49h, 20 JulyAh, I stayed closer to the table with chairs; that’s why I didn’t see you! Glad you’re enjoying Corban’s silliness; we are, too! Hopefully, I’ll see you at church on Sunday so I can ask you my writing question! :)

Posted at 08:51h, 21 JuneRuby, when you’re typing out a new post, at the bottom you’ll find a little section called “Labels.” Type whatever label you want in there, and it will show on the post itself. Then go into the “Design” tab and “Add a Gadget.” The gadget is also called “Labels,” and it will allow you to have a little section on your page so people can click through all the different tags you have. Make sense? Let me know if it works! (Or if it doesn’t, too!) :-P

Posted at 18:31h, 16 Juneyou could also sew some custom pillow covers. they store easily from season to season, would be relatively inexpensive to make and would reuse the same pillows cutting down on clutter. sew a set for each pillow for every season. the ultimate versatility! :)
