April Fools!

April Fools!

Mary Jackson was visiting this past weekend, which gave me just the creative bent I needed to think up some successful April Fools’ pranks.

First, we took a screenshot of the desktop and hid all the folders and the dock. The computer was “frozen.” Poor James. He turned it off and on and off and on and finally unplugged it, before I stepped in to “see what I could do.” Hee hee.

Then I set the iCal to pop up with 5 different reminders (all with alarms) over the course of an hour while I was at Mom’s Group.

And lastly, MJ and I made cupcakes for dinner.

Okay, really they were meatloaf on bottom, dyed mashed potatoes on top. Pretty tricky, though, eh?

Here’s what we really had for dessert.

Confession: I’ve never made a pie before.
Reality: If I value my health, I will never make pecan pie again!

All in all, it was a successful April Fools. Any other sweet pranks out there??

So did anybody eat the “Cupcakes” and how did they react?

We all ate them and…loved them! Of course, not as much as if they had been chocolate cupcakes with sweet frosting, but… :-P
