Anniversary #4

Anniversary #4

The 30th was the 4th time we celebrated our wedding anniversary, but the 1st time with a child! We left Corban with John & Janelle Ditmer and enjoyed some time together before heading off to dinner at a local restaurant that we’ve never been to–Cerulean.

I had the North African Spiced Tuna over delicious orzo, zucchini, and tomatoes, while James chose the Alaskan Maki Roll with salmon. (We did ask our friend Will Dawson exactly how James was supposed to eat that thing. We’re ignorant first-timers!)

Corban was good, but James was even better, taking him out to the lobby when his cries started disturbing those around us. (Yikes!) Corban is quite delightful to have to bounce around in public because we always have the company of delighted strangers commenting on his (you guessed it) red hair. For dessert, we had some amazing…um, I don’t even remember, but it was tiny and chocolate and killer rich.

We completed our anniversary by spending the whole next day shopping in Fort Wayne. I couldn’t have done it by myself, that’s for sure! James survived a mid-diaper-change-blow-out, sans diaper; mealtime runs to get me whatever I wanted to eat while I was feeding Corban, waiting *patiently* with his son while his wife tried on 9 different pairs of jeans, and driving all the way across town to find a restaurant I wanted to try only to find out that it was closed for New Year’s Eve.

We even stayed up until midnight to watch the ball drop. Unfortunately, Corban made it almost that long as well.

Happy Anniversary to us and Happy New Year to you!
